You can't always get what you wannnnnnt. You can't always get what you wannnnnt. But if you try sometime, you find you get what you need.
I have been listening to that song on repeat since I saw the movie Joy. Loved that movie by the way. The song is by the Rolling Stones in case you haven't heard it. It's extra meaningful this morning because I didn't win 1.5 billion dollars last night in the Powerball.
Like all the rest of you, I thought .... well it could happen. Someone has to win. Whatever. I'm happy for the winner. Three winners, I believe. I am happy for all of you. Alright, that's enough of being nice. I'm back to posting pancake recipes. This one is for Valentine's Day as you could probably guess. It's super easy like usual and prettttttty. Get back to work all of you who didn't win. Happy Thursday!
Valentine Heart Sharing Pancakes
What you need
Red food coloring gel
Heart cookie cutter
1. Make your pancake batter as you normally would according to the directions on the box or from your favorite scratch recipe. Separate the batter into two bowls. Leave one bowl white, and add red food coloring gel into the other batter.
2. Over medium heat, pour your pancake batter onto a non-stick un-greased pan and cook as you normally would. Un-greased works the best. That's how you get that perfectly smooth top.
3. Once all your pancakes are cooked, use a heart cookie cutter and swap out the middles of your pancakes. Easy peasy.
