Mini Gardens

If you've always wanted fresh vegetables but you've never had a giant backyard you should create a beautiful mini garden on your balcony, doorstep, window sill, or patio! A mini garden or "container garden" is really no different than a full-blown vegetable garden. There are just three SIMPLE things to remember .....

1. Six to eight hours of direct sunshine is key for small-space success.

2. Synthetic or soilless mix is best for container growing . These mixes hold moisture and nutrients but are lightweight and drain very well.

3. Make sure your containers are very close to your hose because you will need to water frequently.

Here is a list of vegetables that are well suited for container growing:
Peppers
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Eggplant
Beans
Lettuce
Parsley & Herbs
Green Onion
Squash
Radishes
