Burlap Utensil Holders
Normal

"Lily, what do you say?"
"Lily, how do you ask?"
"Lily, is that how we talk?"

My three lines every single freaking day.
And don't get me wrong .... my kid is amazing. She says "may I" and she always says "Yes" instead of "Ya" ..... but let's be honest. We all need a reminder once in a while.
The best crafts are the simplest crafts and this one is simple.
Scroll down to see this burlap utensil holder tutorial!

What you need:
(1) 12" x 12" sheet of Burlap (In the Scrapbook aisle)
Hot Glue
Sticker Stencils
Fabric Paint
Scissors

Chic.

Love.

Alright let's go.
Take your sheet of burlap.
You can buy these 12" x 12" sheets of burlap at Michaels or Paper Source.
The Paper Source version is more frayed and is what I used in the finished product pictures.

Now cut the sheet into 2 pieces.

And fold the bottom up until you create a pocket. It should land exactly in the middle.

Place some hot glue on the edge of your pocket. You could also sew this or use heat transfer bonding tape if you want to get fancy. Look at you fancy pants.

Do the same on both sides. Now my pocket is completeeeeeeee.

Now you may choose to add stenciling if you wish. These are the Martha Stewart sticker stencils. It's best to use a foam brush for this and fabric paint. And simply dot the color so it doesn't bleed. Do not brush it.

Thank you!
