Apples and Honey for Rosh Hashanah
5 minutes

So I'm Christmas and my husband is Jewish : )
And over the last 10 years of being in Loooooove I have picked up on some of these Jewish traditions. Today is Rosh Hashanah and the Jewish tradition is to eat apple slices dipped in honey. This sweet combination of apples and honey stems from an age-old Jewish tradition of eating sweet foods to express hope for a sweet new year. Well I kicked it up a notch and put the honey right inside the apple. This is super easy and gorgeous! Happy New Year!

Apple Filled with Honey

Green Apple

1. Slice the top of your apple off and set aside. Using a melon baller scoop out the center of your apple.
2. Fill with honey and serve with apple slices. Best to serve immediately as apples tend to brown when they sit out.

TIP: To prevent browning of the apples you can squeeze with a little lemon.
