The holidays were over months ago but if you have kids you're probably wrapping gifts every other weekend! It's time to organize your wrapping supplies! Don't toss your rolls of ribbon in a bin with loose ends. You will crush your satin ribbon and all your thin ribbon will be a tangled mess. Here are some helpful tips for organizing your rolls of ribbon.
1.Purchase a multi-roll holder from an antique store or craft supply store. I found my ribbon holder at an antique store near my house. The wood dowel was already attached and all I had to do was slide it through the center of all my ribbons. I hang my scissors on the end of the dowel and the drawer holds all my different colored tapes for gift wrapping. I have also seen inexpensive ribbon holders at Michaels that come in a variety of colors.
2. Make a ribbon Holder. You can save money by using old shoe boxes to hold multiple spools. Just insert a small wooden dowel with the spools already on it through the top and bottom of the box. Cut a hole for each spool at the side or top and thread the ribbon through the side of the box.
3. If you are not real crafty just buy clear plastic shoe boxes. Stand all your ribbon rolls on their side so they are real snug next to each other. This is a simple way to keep everything organized and you can easily see what's inside the box.
